Terms of Use

Rewrite AI is an AI-powered writing tool that transforms text you provide, for example by humanizing, paraphrasing, summarizing, shortening, simplifying, professionalizing, or completing it. The Service may run on remote servers, on your device, or both, depending on the feature and your device's capabilities.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. Some features may require an active subscription, network connectivity, or a device that meets minimum hardware requirements.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Rewrite AI does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal identifiers in order to use core features. Anonymous device identifiers may be used to enforce free-use limits, deliver entitlements, and prevent abuse, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, solely for your own non-commercial use, or, if you purchased a subscription, for your personal or internal business use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Rewrite AI offers paid subscription plans, such as weekly, annual, and lifetime. Plan names, prices, features, and trial durations are shown inside the app before you confirm any purchase.

Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

If a plan includes a free trial, the trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel an active subscription.

All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its standard refund policy at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084. We do not issue refunds directly.

Free transformations granted before a subscription is purchased are provided at our discretion. The number granted may change over time and may be tied to your device. Unused free transformations have no cash value and are non-transferable.

"Your Content" means any text, voice input, or other material you submit to the Service.

You retain all rights you have in Your Content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process it for the limited purpose of providing the Service to you, including transmitting it to and receiving processed output from third-party AI providers we use to power the Service.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to submit it, that it does not infringe any third party's rights, and that it does not violate any law or these Terms.

We do not train models on Your Content. See the Privacy Policy for details on how Your Content is handled.

The Service uses large language models. Output ("Output") is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or otherwise unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing Output before relying on or publishing it. Do not use the Service for advice that requires a licensed professional, including medical, legal, or financial advice.

Because AI models can produce similar Output for different users, we make no representation that Output is unique to you. To the extent we hold any rights in Output, we assign them to you. You acknowledge that other users may receive similar or identical Output for similar inputs.

You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to, use the Service to generate content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes intellectual-property rights.

You also agree not to use the Service to develop, market, or operate a competing product; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, models, or prompts from the Service except to the extent applicable law permits; bypass, disable, or interfere with usage limits, security features, App Check, rate limiting, or paid entitlements; access the Service through automated means other than the official app; or resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise the Service or any Output without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates this section.

The Service, including its design, source code, models, prompts, logos, branding, and all associated intellectual-property rights, is owned by Rewrite AI or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you except for the limited licence in the License section above.

The Service relies on third-party providers for functions such as app distribution, subscription processing, AI-powered features, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, abuse prevention, and related infrastructure. Your use of the Service may therefore also be subject to the terms and policies of those third-party providers where applicable.

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

Nothing in this section affects any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL REWRITE AI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) GBP 50.

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including consumer statutory rights

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including the sections on Your Content, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law and Dispute Resolution, will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions below, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you have the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you live, and nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on those provisions. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the laws of England and Wales apply, but you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Rewrite AI only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service. In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the Service to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
